Personal life[edit]

North West was born on June 25, 2013 to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Her name became a trending topic on Twitter.[3] According to North's grandmother Kris Jenner, during an interview with The View in 2013, the name was picked because "North means ‘highest power,’ and she says that North is [Kim and Kanye’s] highest point together."[4] In a 2020 video on Kylie Jenner's YouTube account, Kim said that she and Kanye first got the idea for the name from a joke on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.[5]

In April 2015, North West was baptized in the Armenian Apostolic Church at the Cathedral of St. James in Jerusalem.[6]

Entertainment career[edit]

North West, along with her mother, started the TikTok account @kimandnorth Thanksgiving 2022.[7][8][9]

Music[edit]

On December 11, 2023, at the "Rave" preview of Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign's then upcoming album Vultures 1, North was featured on the song "Talking".[10][11] North's rap starts with the lines “It’s your bestie/Miss, Miss Westie".[12] On February 9, 2024, the song was released as a single along with a music video.
