Mahatma Buddha University of Agriculture and Technology (MBUAT), is an agricultural university in the Kushinagar district of Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.[1]
History[edit]
In 2023, Mahatma Buddha University of Agriculture and Technology was announced and established by The Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2023.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8] It was reported that it will be established by a cost of ₹750 crore, out of which funding of ₹434.60 crore for the construction of Mahatma Buddha Agriculture and Technology University in Kushinagar was approved by Uttar Pradesh Government in March 2024.[9] Addmission started in 2024 with an BTech degree in Sugarcane Science and Technology through an entrance exam named UPCATET.[10][11]
