Draft:King Ghidorah Supercluster

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The King Ghidorah Supercluster (KGSc) is a galaxy supercluster discovered in 2022. At the time of its discovery, it was the most massive supercluster ever discovered. This supercluster of galaxies is named after fictional kaiju movie monster King Ghidorah, a giant monster from the Toho Studios monster universe that includes Godzilla. The supercluster also has a size that exceeds the theoretical maximum size a feature can be in the Universe within the time given since the Big Bang. As such, it is one of the largest known structures in the Universe.

In 2024, its record mass was surpassed by the Einasto Supercluster.
