BAND$ began to take music more seriously on January 10, 2019 when he put out a tribute single in remembrance of a young teenager that had been killed in his hometown.[3][4][5] This was also in support of getting justice after finding out that it was unlikely.[6] A couple freestyles later, JBAND$ became quiet due to undisclosed circumstances.

Early life[edit]

JBAND$ was born on June 24, 2003, in Huddersfield, United Kingdom, ranked the second worst place to live in the uk.[7] He attended an after school club where he found his love for music which was the core thing that would keep him on the right path of life but just like other deprived areas, opportunities became narrow. Despite his mother doing her best for him, the after school club shut down just like all the youth clubs previously.[8]

Influences[edit]

JBAND$' major influences include Nipsey Hussle (left) and Tupac Shakur (right).

JBAND$ names Nipsey Hussle & Tupac Shakur as his main influences, naming them greats in life not just musically. he saw parts of himself in them, one quality being strategic thinking by forming structure in life for stability. He says, “you can tell when a person wants more out of life, you know... the way you see an individual form structure for stability then renovate their lifestyle from the streets... if that ain’t what’s gangster... then i don’t know what is. God rest their souls.”[9]
