The iPad Air (6th generation), colloquially known as the iPad Air 6, is a tablet computer designed, developed, and marketed by Apple Inc. It was announced by Apple on May 7, 2024. It succeeded the 5th generation iPad Air. It is available with the new 11-inch screen size option as its predecessor, alongside a new 13-inch screen option and is available in four colors: Space Gray, Starlight, Purple, and Blue.[1]

Features[edit]

Hardware[edit]

The fifth-generation iPad Air uses the M2 SoC; the same chip used in the iPad Pro (6th generation). The chip has an 8-core CPU, an 8-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine which can process more than 15.8 trillion operations per second. Apple claims the CPU is up to 18 percent faster and the GPU is 35 percent faster compared to its predecessor. It has up to 256 GB of internal storage, and 8 GB of RAM.
