Filbert (Also known as Flibbert when appearing as a frog) is a character from The Blight Of Man game. He is revealed to come from Shuddering Wood, a reference to C.S. Lewis's Narnia, where he has obscured his tower with magical trees. He is of an undetermined age, but is at least one thousand years old. A sidequest subtly reveals his marital history suggesting after outliving many many wives in his younger days, he met another wizard (who very briefly appears in the game), Debra. The 2 married but after a long time had a falling out in which they fought with their magical powers resulting in Filbert losing all but his animal illusions. This history is reflected in the game, in which if Filbert manages to interact with Debra he loses the choice to talk and can only fight.

Filbert's powers in the time of the game include the ability to talk to animals and spawn animals from his magic bag. However his ability to use insults to cause physical harm can also be considered magical.

Filbert is otherwise very secretive. Physically he is very frail and appears very old, though he never reveals if old age is actually a possible cause of death for him.
