The Expansion Era of the Royal Air Force (RAF) was a series of plans and programmes in the period of 1934-1939. It was part of the larger British rearmament movement in light of Nazi Germany’s own rearmament programme, following its rejection of peace talks and the collapse of the League of Nations in 1934.
