Dinesh Deckker is a Sri Lankan author[1], AI specialist, conservationist, and photographer[2] currently residing in Oman. Born on June 15, 1983, in Kadawatha, Sri Lanka, Deckker has established himself in various interdisciplinary fields, contributing significantly through his works and initiatives.

Early Life and Education[edit]

Dinesh Deckker was born to John Deckker and Indra De Silva in Kadawatha, Sri Lanka. He attended St. Benedict’s College for his primary and secondary education. Deckker holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Gloucestershire and is currently pursuing a PhD. Additionally, he has completed various certificate courses from prestigious institutions, enhancing his expertise in business, marketing, and artificial intelligence.

Career[edit]

Deckker is a renowned digital marketing specialist and has co-authored 13 books with his wife, Subhashini Sumanasekara, including two significant works on artificial intelligence: Intelligent Playgrounds - Revolutionizing Learning Through AI and Behind the Algorithm: Unveiling the Privacy Paradox of Artificial Intelligence. His contributions to literature also include co-authoring 11 children's books[3], with notable titles such as Sasha and Kitty’s Enchanted Journey and The Emerald Glade Adventure.

As a conservationist, Deckker founded the Nade Gura Travel and Conservation Society[4] in Sri Lanka, aiming to promote environmental conservation. His passion for photography is evident from his exhibition[5] held in Oman on October 15, 2016, showcasing his skills and commitment to the art.
