Della V. Mosley (she/they) is a Black, queer, feminist, American scholar, activist, healer, educator, and counseling psychologist.
Biography[edit]
Della Mosley earned a Bachelor's in English from Bradley University, a Master's in School Counseling from Johns Hopkins University, and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky. They completed a doctoral internship in professional psychology at Duke University. Dr. Mosley was a tenure-track faculty member in the psychology department at the University of Florida from 2018 until 2021.
In 2020, Dr. Mosley co-founded Academics for Black Survival and Wellness (#Academics4BlackLives) with Dr. Pearis Bellamy. Within the first year of the initiative, over 15,000 participants across the world participated in anti-racism trainings centered on accountability and action (non-Black participants) and healing and wellness workshops and experiences (Black participants).[1]
In 2021, Della Molsey gave a talk at TEDxUF titled "Moving From 'Woke' To Working For Black Futures".[2]
She is President of non-profit The WELLS Healing Center (previously the Wellness, Equity, Love, Liberation, and Sexuality Healing and Research Collective) based in Durham, NC. The organization provides workshops and training using counseling psychology and Black feminist principles, and mentorship and training for mental health and wellness healers that incorporates scholarship and activism.
They are also co-founder of the Radical Healing Collaborative Group Practice and a member of the Psychology of Radical Healing Collective.
