Benzz (born 2003 or 2004) is a British rapper with a Moroccan background, known for his unique style and anonymity. He was born and raised in the neighborhood of Whitechapel and later moved near Ladbroke Grove.[1]

Early Life[edit]

Before embarking on his music career, Benzz was close to becoming a professional footballer. He had try-outs at Brentford FC when he was 18 years old. However, he decided to follow his passion for music instead.

Career[edit]

Benzz started his music career in September 2021. He recorded his first tracks as a rapper and quickly gained recognition for his distinctive style. He often performs with a bandana as a mask, maintaining his anonymity.[2]

Musical Style[edit]

Benzz’s music has been influenced by various genres and styles. His song “Je m’appelle”[3] gained popularity on TikTok and was used by several high-profile accounts including FIFA, UEFA, and Real Madrid. The music video for the song was released on April 21, 2022 on the grime site GRMDaily. It features scenes from Ladbroke Grove and was directed by Marta Strauss, who has worked with artists like Tion Wayne, M1llionz, and Ms. Banks. The song samples the dance track “Destination Calabria” by music producer Alex Gaudino.[4] [5]
