Beirut Association For Social Development

Beirut Association for Social Development is headquartered in Beirut, New Road, Bustani Street, next to Al-Mukhtar Al-Arab.

Its objectives include all types of studies and research, cultural activities, various charitable works, and all activities aimed at achieving its goals.

At Beirut for Social Development, there is a deep commitment to promoting the social and economic transformation of the most vulnerable individuals in society, with a special focus on children and youth. Regardless of their nationality, religion, or social status, they strive to elevate individuals and provide them with the necessary support for success.

Through their comprehensive programs and campaigns, they actively contribute to building a sustainable community. They prioritize activities that enhance capacity building, self-reliance, and personal transformation. Their initiatives include a wide range of efforts, including activities for social and economic empowerment, educational support programs, healthcare management, awareness campaigns, and charitable initiatives.

However, following the economic crisis that hit the country in 2005, there was a significant decrease in donations from local fundraising campaigns, leading to the disruption of their finance committee. As a result, their association and facilities began to gradually shut down or become inactive.

The year 2011 marked a turning point as Lebanon's economy and public support services faced severe pressures due to worsening social and economic problems. Poverty and unemployment rates reached unprecedented levels, calling for immediate global efforts to mitigate the social consequences and difficulties resulting from the economic collapse. It became necessary to lift their community from this dire situation.

Through effective strategic planning, by the end of 2019, they succeeded in reactivating their association and securing both local and global funding to resume their vital mission. This achievement allowed them to regain momentum and reinforce their commitment to creating positive change within their community.

Looking to the future, they remain steadfast in their dedication to empowering individuals, fostering sustainable development, and addressing the pressing social issues facing their community. They will continue to collaborate with local and international partners, mobilize resources, and implement impactful programs that make a tangible difference in the lives of those they serve.

Together, they can build a more inclusive and resilient community, where every individual has the opportunity to succeed and contribute toward a brighter future.

Their achievements: Beirut Bakery and the Sports Academy unite to support the victims of the Beirut explosion and uplift the impoverished community. The bakery produces 2,000 bread packages daily, providing food and comfort. The academy empowers youth through sports, offering guidance and a safe place for healing. Together, they provide assistance, resources, and opportunities for rebuilding, creating a more inclusive society in Lebanon.

Additionally, this organization holds an ISO certificate, attesting to their commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and management in their operations.
