Ayesha Singh (born 19 June 1996) is an Indian actress who primarily works in Hindi television. Singh is best known for her portrayal as Amy D'Costa in Zindagi Abhi Baaki Hai Mere Ghost and Sai Joshi in Star Plus's Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.[1][2]

Early life[edit]

Ayesha Singh was born on 19 June 1996 in Agra.[3] She completed her schooling from St.Patrick Junior College in Agra.[3] She completed Bachelor of Laws from SNDT Women's University.[3] Singh then completed her course in Acting from Anupam Kher's acting school.[4]

Career[edit]

Ayesha Singh made her acting debut in 2015 with Doli Armaano Ki[5][6] She portrayed a minor role of Ratti Sinha[7] [8]in few episodes of the show.[9][10] In the same year, she portrayed[11] Amy D'Costa[12] [13][14]in Zindagi Abhi Baaki Hai Mere Ghost [15] [16], which aired on Life OK, marking her fiction debut.[citation needed] She then portrayed Reena [17] [18]in a crowd-funded movie Adrishya[19][20], which was released in 2018. Since October 2020, Singh is seen portraying Sai Joshi in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin[25]opposite Neil Bhatt and Harshad Arora.[26] The show proved as a major turning point in her career and made her a household name.[27] She received Indian Telly Awards[28] for Most Promising Actress [29][30] Bollywood Life's Best Actress award[31], International Iconic Awards[32] for Best Actress for her performance in 2023.[29] [31] [33]

In 2022, Singh reprised Sai Joshi in the game show Ravivaar With Star Parivaar.[34] In the same year, she made her debut in music video with Bidaai [35] sung by Yashita Sharma and produced by Warner Music India.[10]
