The Warren Avenue Bridge was built to help the expansion between East and West Bremerton in the US state of Washington (over the Port Washington Narrows and to help alleviate the bottleneck of traffic volume. A toll was imposed on crossing the new bridge to pay for the construction. To prevent another bottleneck on the Manette Bridge, tolls were re-imposed there. By October 24 1972, the Warren Avenue Bridge had been paid off, and tolls were removed from both spans.[1]

The bridge was officially opened on November 25,1958 to the public,[2] and was closed temporarily in January 1997 for structural damage.
