Judge Argie Brame is currently serving as the Associate Judge of the 434th District Court in Fort Bend County, Texas. She was appointed in January 2021 and brings a wealth of experience and commitment to the bench.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Judge Brame pursued her undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago, Judge Argie Brame earned a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She continued her education at Chicago-Kent College of Law, receiving her first degree of Juris Doctor in May 2002.

Judge Brame began her legal career in Chicago, where she practiced in the area of insurance defense for over five years. She moved to Fort Bend County in 2008, where she continued her legal career in litigation. Pursuing her passion for criminal law, she began working at the Fort Bend County Public Defender’s Office in January 2019 until she was sworn in as judge. During her 18 years practicing law, Judge Brame gained valuable knowledge and experience litigating a wide range of cases.

The 434th Associate District Court handles lots of cases including felony criminal, civil and tax cases. Judge Brame also proudly presides over Sanctions Court, Substance Abuse Court, and STARS Court, which are dedicated to providing specialized attention and support to individuals with substance abuse and mental health challenges. Judge Brame ensures that each case she oversees receives careful consideration and strives to promote equity and justice in her court room.
