The Allied Bedouin Tribes (القبائل البدوية المتحالفة) (השבטים הבדואים של בעלות הברית) romanized to Al-Qabail Al-Badawiyah Al-Mathalafa, also commonly referred to as the ABT, is an armed Bedouin group formed of different tribes of Israeli Arabs. The group has been more active in the last few years, especially with the escalation in the region due to the Israel-Hamas War. They have been most active in Northern Israel, fighting against Hezbollah militants.

The ATB was founded in 1938 by Mohammed Al-Mokhtar El-Ebrahim Abu-Salem Al-Ahmed, a Bedouin Muslim and a big supporter of the concepts of Zionism. He had been fascinated with the ideas of the father of Zionism, Theodore Herzl. He created the organization to gather Arab support for the Jewish people returning to their homeland. Well known at the time, Al-Ahmed had survived over 5 assassination attempts before one finally took his life in 1989. With no children at the time, he passed the leadership of the group down to his dearest friend, Samir Abu-Ahmad El-Hussein, who later died in 2013 passing the leadership down to his son, Ahmad Al-Konoma El-Hussein. The group played a major role in both the 6 Day War and the Yom Kippur War, in which they gathered support from over 30,000 Bedouin men to combat against Palestinian Islamists.

2013-present[edit]
In 2013, Ahmad Al-Konoma El-Hussein became the leader and head commander of the Allied Bedouin Tribes. After reaching agreements with Israeli president Benjamin Netanyahu, a weapons exchange was within the group. As of today, an estimated $18,000,000 worth of weapons lies in the hands of the ABT. Talks between the United States and the group decreased during the presidency of Barack Obama, whom the ATB accused of supporting terrorism and calling for the destruction of Israel. Relations returned in 2017 when President Donald Trump came to office. Tens if not hundreds of armored vehicles were donated by the United States during this time. Relations died down once more with the American election going in favor of current president Joe Biden, who the ATB's spokesperson stated was too lenient on Hamas and other extremists. The recent Israel-Hamas War became the first major event to involve the ATB in over 25 years. An estimated 900 members of the ATB were sent into the Gaza Strip to defeat Hamas. Over the years, the group has grown with its hatred towards the Lebanese militia group Hezbollah, which they designate as a terrorist organization. The ATB has released countless statements about the importance of defeating the group and did not hesitate after clashes between Hezbollah and Israel began. So far, the ATB has revealed that they have lost more than 200 fighters since their engagement in the Israeli-Lebanese Conflict began.
