Draft:Akhmed Yakoob
Submission declined on 5 May 2024 by Vinegarymass911 (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

Early Life[edit]
Yakoob was born and raised in Aldridge until he was concerned about the drug abuse in the area and how this would affect his children’s upbringing.[2] He was kicked out of school, aged fifteen. This caused his entire family and most friends to discourage him from going to university. Akhmed’s former boss claimed he couldn’t even speak English.
Law career[edit]
He is a qualified criminal defence lawyer.[3]
After he graduated from The University of Law in Birmingham, he struggled to find a job with which his dad helped him. Then, he joined a law firm in 2014.
Mr Yakoob is the director of Maurice Andrews Solicitors, a criminal law practice founded in 1988. He took over in 2016 and says to have propelled the business to “making millions”. The firm specialises in areas including drugs, murder, terrorism and serious fraud.[4]
Political career[edit]
With no previous political background, it was surprising for most to see Akhmed gaining third place in the election.[5] This is due to his international aims: he vows to be an advocate for the people in Gaza, Kashmir and Khalistan.[6] In addition, he has received much support from his social media campaigning, in particular Tiktok.[7] Because of his high ratings with a lack of experience, he may want to expand his political career. However, since his participation in the election, many have threatened his life with death threats.
Personal life[edit]
Yakoob owns two Lamborghinis, a Mercedes Benz G-Class, a Ferrari F8 and a Rolls Royce; his car collection is worth £1 million.[8] He has a wife, who he married married sometime in his early twenties, four sons, aged approximately 15, 13, 11 and 5.[9]
