The Academy for Human Encounters and Dialogue (AHD) (Arabic: اكاديمية الانسان للتلاقي والحوار) is a proposed international organization dedicated to promoting dialogue, peace, and cultural understanding among diverse communities. It was proposed by Lebanese President Michel Aoun and was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on December 17, 2019.[citation needed]

The AHD is rooted in a growing recognition of the importance of dialogue in resolving conflicts and promoting global harmony. President Aoun envisioned the AHD as a catalyst for fostering dialogue and understanding between cultures, particularly in regions experiencing conflict or social tension.[citation needed]

The AHD will be established by the United Nations General Assembly and will work to foster dialogue, peace, and cultural understanding among diverse communities. The organization will have a governing body composed of representatives from member states and a staff of experts and professionals to carry out its activities. The AHD is currently in the process of developing its structure and operations.[citation needed]
