Aaran Gallery and 'Aaran Projects are two contemporary art spaces located in Tehran, Iran. Aaran Gallery was established in 2008 by Nazila and Rana Noebashari.[1] Aaran Projects was founded in 2015 as a non-commercial space for experimental and interdisciplinary projects.[2] Aaran Gallery exhibits a variety of artworks, from painting and sculpture to photography and video, by both established and emerging Iranian artists,[3] including Ahmad Aali, Hossein Valamanesh, Newsha Tavakolian.
Aaran Gallery also participates in various art fairs and events, such as Asia Now Paris,[4] Aaran Projects focuses on supporting artists who explore new forms of expression and challenge conventional boundaries of art.
Aaran Projects has also been featured in publications such as Hyperallergic[5] and ArtAsiaPacific,[6] which highlight its contribution to the development of contemporary art in Iran. Aaran Gallery and Aaran Projects are important cultural institutions in Iran that continue to support and showcase Iranian artists.[7]
