110 is a Norwegian TV documentary series about the Bergen fire brigade. The series follows firefighters at work around the clock, both on call and at the station.[1][2][3] The recordings were carried out from autumn 2021 to autumn 2022 at main Bergen fire station and Fana fire station. The series offers insight into life at the fire station when the alarm goes off, and shows how tactical assessments must be made under time pressure and with limited access to information.[4]
The documentary series was produced by NRK in Bergen. It premiered on NRK on 7 December 2022.[2][5]
The title[edit]
The title of the series alludes to the Norwegian emergency number 110, which is the telephone number for reporting fires, explosions and similar emergency incidents.
