Dandathirtha

Dandathirtha or Dandatheertha is a place near Kaup in Udupi district of Karnataka state, India.[1] It is a holy place for swamijis of the Ashta Mathas of Udupi.[2] There is a sacred pond or lake in Dandatheertha where swamiji ascending paryaya dip and bathe before proceeding to Shri Krishna Matha.[3][4] Dandathirtha is located on National Highway 66, 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Udupi town.[5]
