I have wondered about the history and Origin of the Pea we refer here in the South as Field Peas? Not Black eye peas. Southerners everywhere enjoy these peas, but I don't think they are grown or enjoyed beyond our region. In fact I remember some people speaking of these tasty Peas as animal feed. I would like to know their history and Origin. How they came to America. Ronald Draughon, North Carolina
