Untitled[edit]

This page is so wrong. The following simply are not screamo: Alesana, Antioch Arrow, Blessthefall, Engine Down, Escape the Fate, Four Letter Lie, Funeral for a Friend, Gay for Johnny Depp, Hand to Hand, Hawthorne Heights, JR Ewing, Matchbook Romance, Our Last Night, Pay Money To My Pain, Ruet Caelum, A Static Lullaby, Thursday, Yesterdays Rising

The reasoning is simple: Either the bands in the above list are not DIY(and most likely mainstream and signed to major labels) or their style is simply incorrect. However, if their style was actually screamo in the first place it would be DIY because screamo cannot be under any circumstance mainstream. The style itself simply does not allow it. If it's mainstream, it just can't be actual screamo.

All the rest are actual screamo bands and conform to both the musical attributes and DIY mentality. I'll remove the above list from this page, if anyone disagrees give me a good reasoning as to why I could be wrong with citing objective traits. Genre classification is after all objective, no matter how much the media says a particular band is screamo it won't make it any less wrong. --78.22.66.140 (talk) 10:48, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, this page works differently.. Sad. I'll then carry on the discussion on the main "emo/screamo" page. --78.22.66.140 (talk) 10:50, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
