Untitled[edit]

I think it is very good that Wikipedia has this list. However, as it is, the list lacks structure. Would it not be an idea to group it, so we have, for example, scientific terms named after people, then places named after people, then other things? I shall appreciate any comments. Not only people[edit]

Is this category only about lists after “People”? Per definition I don’t think so. The eponym definition according to the Wikipedia page is: “An eponym is a person, a place, or a thing after whom or which someone or something is, or is believed to be, named.” So because an eponym is not only about “people” I added to this category List of United States Navy ships named after US states. Or an alternative might be creating the subcategory: Category:Lists of eponyms of people. 109.37.155.228 (talk) 07:01, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
