Scope

Do we subsume unter this category only bridges that completely have vanished or also those which lay in ruins and don't serve their function anymore? Many ancient bridges fall into the second category, like the Aesepus Bridge where sizable parts of the structure are still intact, although one cannot pass across the river on it anymore.
