Duke of Buccleuch[edit]

Originated in or around 750 AD in the area of Scotland known as Buccleuch (English translation "Buck"). It happened when the King of Scotland, Kenneth Talpin was hunting deer came upon a commoner John Scott and seeing his feat of carrying a deer approximately 1 mile over a hill which he barehanded captured laid it at the king's horse's feet.
