Why is the Kanawha Valley Campaign of 1862 not part of the list? It has:

    • Encounter at Weston - August 31
    • Skirmish at Glenville - September 1
    • Rathbone's Folley at Spencer - September 2
    • First Ohio Invasion - September 3 at Racine
  • Battle of Fayetteville - September 10-11 in Fayetteville, West Virginia
  • Battle of Cotton Hill - part of retreat from Fayetteville
  • Battle of Charleston - September 12
  • Battle of Buffalo
  • Kanawha Expedition - Union army retakes valley, including Charleston, October 15-November 3, 1862

Among the "players" were Jacob Dolson Cox, Joseph Andrew Jackson Lightburn, William H. Powell, Albert G. Jenkins, William Wing Loring, Gabriel C. Wharton, John McCausland, and John Echols. TwoScars (talk) 16:59, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
