Name change and deletion[edit]

A proposal has been made to rename or delete this category. Its creation is an ongoing work under WP:WPASK and is specifically to list settlements that were established during the anglo-saxon period. Redirects on original placenames are added to enable the category to be used to populate a settlement list, and also as placemarks for follow-up stubs on anglo-saxon etymology. Category:Mercian settlements is merely the first sub-category being completed.Metabaronic (talk) 19:51, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
