An Indian knight was a male indigenous British subject of a country under the British Raj before 1947, who was appointed a Knight Grand Cross / Knight Grand Commander or Knight Commander of an honour in the British honours system, or who was appointed a Knight Bachelor.

The 1946 Birthday Honours was the very last to confer knighthoods on Indian subjects of the King.
