Cardell Williams is an American football quarterback who plays for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.

Early life and high school[edit]

Williams was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and attended Westfield High School. In Williams high school career he completed 442 out of his 474 passes for 7,803 yards and 89 touchdowns to 20 interceptions. Williams also rushed for 420 yards and 15 touchdowns.[1] Williams would decide to commit to play college football at Tulsa.[2]

College career[edit]

In week one of the 2023 season, Williams would make his college debut coming in for starting quarterback Braylon Braxton after he threw two interceptions. In his debut Williams would complete 13 of his 14 pass attempts for 233 yards and three touchdown, while also adding a three yard rushing touchdown, as he helped Tulsa open their season with a win beating Arkansas–Pine Bluff 42-7.[3][4] Williams would be named the team's starting quarterback going into their week two matchup.[5] In his first start, Williams would complete six of his fourteen passing attempts for 65 yards and an interception, before leaving the game in the second quarter with an injury, as the Golden Hurricane would fall against Washington.[6] Williams would get his first win as a starter in week four, as he struggled going eight for passing with 102 yards and two interceptions, but Tulsa would beat Northern Illinois 22–14.[7][8]
