The 1998 British Speedway Championship was the 38th edition of the British Speedway Championship.[1] The Final took place on 17 May at Brandon in Coventry, England. The Championship was won by Chris Louis, with Joe Screen in second place and Paul Hurry in third.[2]

British Under 21 final[edit]
Scott Nicholls won the British Speedway Under 21 Championship for the first time. The final was held at Arena Essex Raceway on 24 April.[4]
