spam warning[edit]

this article seems to be a copy of the online biography posted by her employer [http://www.ustelecom.org/WhoWeAre/ExecutiveBios/ReginaHopper.html not sure if this is a credible source - to me the article seems like spamvertising and should be pruned back.

I agree. A representative of the subject has hired me to bring this into line with WP guidelines. If upon completion I feel that the banners should be removed, I'll come back here and suggest someone else take that action. (This message also functions as a COI declaration.) Please relax. Her company, as with any corporate entity will release PR pieces that will be picked up by services like PR Newswire and in turn other WP:RS sources. I am in no way connected with her, her company and am here because I saw the WP:AFD for her article flash by my Recent changes screen as a Page Patroller. ----moreno oso (talk) 04:43, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand. Can you clarify? When I wrote my above message, the article was a verbatim copy of her bio and unarguably needed work. My message was in no way anxious/belligerent. MatthewBurton (talk) 23:43, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cleaning up[edit]

I've made some substantial revisions to the content and style of this article. In keeping with what I said above, I suggest some or all of the banners be removed. Thoughts? MatthewBurton (talk) 21:58, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
