If there are any problems with the guidelines to nomination and voting then please make them known here! If the grammar is a bit iffy then you can change it. - Erebus555 15:52, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are some auto-expanding templates for nominations. Snowman 22:45, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I'm a rookie when it comes to this technology with templates so could you care to elaborate please? Thanks. - Erebus555 20:03, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I got this from another wiki project and put in West Midlands collaboration of the month (WMCOTM)

  • {{subst:WMCOTMnew|article name|~~~~~|date in seven days|your reason for nominating|~~~~}}.

You just substitute the relevant parts and when you save it the template expands to form a nomination. This one does not work because of the new letters in it. I do not know how to get it to work but user:badbilltucker might be able to help. If there is not any support after one wk it can be deleted. There is probably other ways different projects make nominations. Snowman 21:00, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like complicated stuff. Not sure if it would be worth going to all that trouble. - Erebus555 17:06, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Incorporating article requests[edit]

I thought it maybe useful if users can add articles that they want to be created as nominations. They can take them from the WikiProject Article Requests page or they could be their own suggestions. This way we could also keep the backlog of article requests on that page down too. Would do you think? - Erebus555 13:07, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nominating process[edit]

To avoid problems with nominating and voting, do you think that the first 15 days of the month should be for nominations only, and then after nominations have closed, you are only permitted to vote? This would help when voting so that you do not need to change your vote when a new nomination appears.

Also, I think we should get more people nominating/ voting. I know this is early on in the scheme's existence but it would be good to get this one going quickly. - Erebus555 20:42, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tie break![edit]

It appears we have a tie break. I don't know what the process is when we get one of these :-S. Anyone got any ideas? I'm favouring the West Bromwich article... - Erebus555 18:04, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I'll put my vote in in favour of West Bromwich - I'd rather add content than re-organise! Fingerpuppet 19:17, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think I'll give it to West Bromwich then. - Erebus555 20:04, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
