Scope[edit]

Hmmm... This page is growing quickly. What should the scope be? I just added all the athletics facilities, and I was about to add all the football players at Category:Texas Longhorns football players when I realized how long that would make this list. Suggestions? Johntex\talk 00:00, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Adding to that, I guess we're replicating what we already have in categories. To answer your question on scope, what I wanted was a notification board for new articles (since there's no current way to watch for category additions). Ideas? jareha (comments) 04:37, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think I see what you are getting at. How about 3 sections here: (1) A list of the "major" UT articles - I'd say we should decide on 10 or so of the best or most important articles, covering a wide range of topics (2) An ever-changing list of articles that are either (a) new (b) topical for some reason (like edit warring over Vince Young's Wonderlic schores or (c) chosen to be a focus of clean-up or expansion (3) Pointers to each UT category, so that the reader can go and find all the other UT articles if they desire. Added a categories section on the main project page, which should account for section three. As for the other two, do you want to create these sections as seperate pages under /Articles? jareha (comments) 02:31, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think two sections within /Articles would be sufficient. We can always make it two seperate pages later if we need to. We should probably also refer back to the Category for a more complete listing. Johntex\talk 02:35, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good to me. Go for it. jareha (comments) 02:39, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK, here goes...Johntex\talk 02:53, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Just realized that 2b and 2c are already accommodated by our to-do. jareha (comments) 03:00, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
