Notability and sourcing on reality TV articles[edit]

I've become aware of how very many articles on biographies in this subject area are sourced mainly or exclusively to tabloid journalism (Daily Express, Daily Mail, Sun, Daily Record, Mirror etc.) in contravention of WP:BLPSOURCES. Our mission dictates that we really cannot carry anything contentious sourced in this way, and I've been removing some of the material. My initial approach was to redirect articles where the only sourcing was tabloid. User:Boleyn has convinced me that there is usually some better sourcing available and that maybe these articles should be tagged for improvement instead. I'd have no objection to this, but it's a huge task and I thought I would ask here, even though I see it isn't a very busy place. Is there any interest in a common approach to improving sourcing to be compliant? I dare say a lot of the articles could be saved. User:John Carter, is this still an interest of yours? --John (talk) 00:11, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I would be willing to help clean up and find sources on the articles I am working on. WikiVirusC (talk) 12:04, 16 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please come and help...[edit]

Greetings! I have recently relisted a requested move discussion at Talk:American Idol (ABC TV series)#Requested move 6 January 2018, regarding a page related to this WikiProject. Your opinion and rationale are needed so a decision can be made. Thank you and Happy Publishing!  Paine Ellsworth  put'r there  01:13, 18 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge of Mark-Francis Vandelli ‎and Louise Thompson (TV personality) into Made in Chelsea[edit]

Hello everyone, I've just proposed a merge of Mark-Francis Vandelli ‎and Louise Thompson (TV personality) into Made in Chelsea. The discussion can be found at Talk:Made in Chelsea#Merger proposal. Many thanks. Senegambianamestudy (talk) 16:25, 9 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The Glass House (2012 TV series)[edit]

Was wondering if someone from this task force would mind taking a look at The Glass House (2012 TV series) and assessing it. It was created back in May 2012, but seems to have gone unassessed , probably because nobody added any WikiProject banners to its talk page until I did. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:56, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request for information on WP1.0 web tool[edit]

Hello and greetings from the maintainers of the WP 1.0 Bot! As you may or may not know, we are currently involved in an overhaul of the bot, in order to make it more modern and maintainable. As part of this process, we will be rewriting the web tool that is part of the project. You might have noticed this tool if you click through the links on the project assessment summary tables.

We'd like to collect information on how the current tool is used by....you! How do you yourself and the other maintainers of your project use the web tool? Which of its features do you need? How frequently do you use these features? And what features is the tool missing that would be useful to you? We have collected all of these questions at this Google form where you can leave your response. Walkerma (talk) 04:25, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Produce X 101[edit]

Since Produce X 101#Vote manipulation investigation is starting to overlap with Produce 48, Iz*One, X1, and Idol School, you are welcome to join the discussion taking place at Talk:Produce X 101#Split proposal to see how we can split the article, or if it is needed at this time. Your input is appreciated. Thank you! lullabying (talk) 23:13, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Scott Disick[edit]

Currently the page for Scott Disick is a redirect page to Kourtney Kardashian. I believe the redirect page no longer serves the purpose well and that Disick needs his own page. I have been working on Draft:Scott Disick, please feel free to help with edits or make suggestions. The recent draft submission was rejected, it seems largely to be in part that the original article was nominated for deletion four times (last time in 2017) and was SALTed. If you have any info on how to get this draft approved and the main article unSALTed, please reach out. It seems unfair that Disick does not have a page at this point since he meets the notability guidelines. I'm happy to talk more about this - reach out on my talk page or the Scott Disick talk page. Survivor jury vote table discussion[edit]

There is a proposal at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television/Survivor task force#Jury vote tables to list the vote totals in the same order as the names in the finalist row immediately above the vote totals. All interested editors are invited to join that discussion. Since the Survivor task force appears to be inactive, I'm notifying here and the talk pages for each Survivor season in order to reach interested editors. Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Television, which is within the scope of this WikiProject, has an RFC for possible consensus. A discussion is taking place. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments on the discussion page. Thank you. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 17:57, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This RFC is worth a look. One possible outcome is the deletion of hundreds or thousands of contestant progress tables project-wide. –Novem Linguae (talk) 01:03, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Template split discussion RealWorld/Road Rule/Challenge[edit]

I have proposed splitting up the {{RWRR}} template that is used on The Real World/Road Rules/The Challenge and other related pages. You can find the discussion on the talk page for the template. Posting here to try and get more eyes and opinions on discussion. General "should we split or should we not", along with two option if we do split. Thank you. GA Reassessment: Sister Wives[edit]
