The country by year table looks a bit like the Summer Olympics one. It claims Australia first competed in 1924 (it first competed in 1936), that Jamaica first competed in 1948 (1988 is more likely), and that various soviet countries boycotted a 1984 winter olympics (which were held in communist Yugoslavia).
