@Hmlarson:, the following might be useful, I was not sure where to put it in the page.

  • HandsomeBoy -- we could add a section called Leagues to start and fill in with some of the articles you've provided as references, where applicable or if it requires a new section on equal pay, let's just add it?
Can you review this bulleted list of leagues and years in existence and confirm or modify if I'm missing things?
  • NIFFOA (Nigeria Female Football Organising Association) 1978
  • NIFFPA (Nigeria Female Football Proprietors Associations) -- renamed 1979
  • Nigerian Women's Championship (1990-____)
  • Nigeria Women Premier League (______ - 2019)
  • Nigeria Women Football League (2020 rebrand with three tier system: NWFL Premiership (formerly Nigeria Women Premier League); the second-tier league known as NWFL Championship (formerly NWFL Pro-League) while the third tier division becomes the NWFL Nationwide (formerly NWFL Amateur League))

@HMlarson: You are correct except for your last entry. Nigeria Women Football League is not a league, but a body that organizes several women's leagues. In 2020, it was "Nigeria Women Premier League" that changed to "NWFL Premiership", aside this, every other information is correct.HandsomeBoy (talk) 04:17, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@HandsomeBoy: I didn't get your ping. Thank you for this clarification. I should get back to this later in the month after things settle with work/home. I'll add this to the initiative page. Hmlarson (talk) 19:35, 13 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
