Closing remarks[edit]

I have archived the body of this mediation discussion, it can be found in one of the above 3 archive links. Although the mediation was successful in resolving 2 of the content disputes that were brought up, discussion on a third point of contention was left unresolved. Mediation was terminated by request of participant Neigel von Teighen on behalf of 0-0-0-Destruct-0 indicating a desire to cease informal mediation. Participant Hiding did not indicate a desire to conclude the discussion but I am formally closing the Mediation Cabal case due to the withdrawal of one side of the debate.

The ultimate result of the mediation attempt was a partial resolution of the dispute. The discussion concluded that the official motto and bylines of the school newspaper The Foreward should be presented as such and not interpreted as official school policy. Discussion also concluded that no motive can be ascribed to the school's useage of scans of the paper or to the particular choice of editions shown on the school website. The solutions agreed upon during the mediation have been implemented in the article.

No further consensus regarding disputed material has been reached in this discussion and none should be implied.

As a followup to this mediation, Neigel von Teighen has filed a request for formal mediation with the Mediation Committee.

As all agreed upon solutions have been implemented, discussion on this page will be closed and all notices regarding informal mediation will be removed from the article page.

I would like to extend my personal thanks to all of the involved participants to this discussion for the productive and open manner in which the dispute was engaged. All participants remained civil and agreeable during this case and I feel that was highly instrumental in reaching the solutions we did come to. I wish you all the best of luck in resolving what remains of this dispute in whichsoever manner you choose to resolve it, and do hope that the disagreements regarding this article are swiftly finalized.
