Suggestions[edit]

May I suggest one of you guys take the following subjects?:

  • François Tomb, the frescoes of the tomb tell a story on the early Roman Republic that is different from the narrative found in Livy and others. The Emperor Claudius alluded to some of these events in a speech.
  • many articles on Roman magistracies and institutions should be rewritten:
  • First Triumvirate has to be rewritten: too much verbiage and not enough modern sources.
  • Quintus Fabius Pictor, stub article of the first Roman historian, use Cornell's Fragments of the Roman Historians.

Tell me if you need further advice. T8612 (talk) 00:51, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for the suggestions, T8612! I will add these to the list of potential topics for my students, but perhaps you could suggest a few pages that address the content gap on Wikipedia a bit more? Some pages of Roman women, for example, or underrepresented groups that need improvement? Thanks! Gardneca (talk) 13:49, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The main gap I've identified is that on the institutions and magistrates. I don't know much about Roman women or cultural topics as I'm mostly involved in politics of the Roman Republic. You can look at the template here and see if there are some subjects of interest for you. T8612 (talk) 18:17, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
