Other, smaller (if newer) far left groups maintain entries on Wikipedia eg Workers' Power, Alliance for Workers Liberty, etc. Counterfire contains significant figures on UK far left, including John Rees, Lindsey German, Clare Solomon. Counterfire website amongst the most visited left sites in UK. Entry therefore meets Wikipedia significance criteria. -195.195.176.1 (talk) 17:31, 17 October 2011 (UTC)
I think you should reconsider this, yes it's likely that this organization isn't notable but it was created by a here compliant editor and PRODed by an ip without an edit summary as its only edit. zangersheide

It says the page was deleted because it was advertising a farm. Zangersheide is the name of a farm that produces a breed of horse by the same name. The page was not advertising the farm, it was providing valuable information about Zangersheide horses and the fact that they are from the Zangersheide farm is relevant because they are a new and rare breed which is still developing. -24.160.177.22 (talk) 01:38, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

Not done and will not be done See WP:UPANDCOMING. If and when they become notable, then an article could be created. --Orange Mike | Talk 12:53, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
The entire article was the sentence Zangersheide is a warmblood horse registry founded in 1992 which breeds show jumping horses with a link to the farm. This was borderline G11 so I'm unfortunately forced to endorse this. However, any here compliant editor is free to write a new article if there are independent sources discussing this breed, otherwise it's "spam". --Ron Ritzman (talk) 13:32, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

  • Probably Build-To-Order (HDB), Punggol · ( talk | logs | links | watch ) · [revisions], which was deleted as unambiguous advertising or promotion, restored and deleted again for the same reason as the original deletion. Maybe there was an old version to revert to, or it was restored because it should have been a PROD or AFD. Peter E. James (talk) 16:18, 18 October 2011 (UTC) Another possibility is that it was only restored as a redirect, but it wouldn't be useful now as there's nothing relevant in the current version of the article. Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles concerning people. 3rd season episodes of The O.C.

I PRODded these above articles, let them be deleted, and created them as redirects. Due to popular demands and reasonable, convincing intentions of preserving history logs, I request recovery of previous revisions without reverted these pages back to their former selves. In other words, recover history while leave them as they are. Still, I'm not too sure. I hope previous revisions do not infringe copyrights as articles of All My Children characters have. --Gh87 (talk) 06:17, 21 October 2011 (UTC)

Not done - they were indeed largely copyvios. A Google search for specimen sentences shows identical text all over the Web, some sites but not all acknowledging Wikipedia as the source. In particular, identical text is here and here marked "From : The O.C. Official - FOX". That's a dead link, but it seems clear that, as so often with episode articles, they have been copied from an official guide. There may be un-copyvio versions in the history, but I don't think it's worth the work to check that out just in order to do a partial history-restore behind a redirect. Breakaway (Tinchy Stryder song)

Please return it back. Beside it being deleted on 25 November 2009 by Jayjg (talk). I would like to know the reason for the deletion of Tinchy Stryder's song "Breakaway (Tinchy Stryder song)", by Jayjg once again on 23 October 2011, after 4 years and 7 months of the song being released as the first official single from Tinchy Stryder's debut studio album Star in the Hood on 9 April 2007?. I have left Jayjg a message on their user talk page, but I have yet to receive a reply to the explanation of the article being re-deleted. The reason given for deletion on 25 November 2009 by Jayjg was that the song lacked notability to Tinchy Stryder. But here in 2011, I have collected this Twitter status from Tinchy Stryder from 18 October 2011, clearly confirming that the "Breakaway (Tinchy Stryder song)" is a notable song to Tinchy Stryder after 4 years and 7 months. Here is the Twitter status of the song confirmation, just click on this link ----> http://twitter.com/#!/TinchyStryder/status/126257795321430016, so what I'm trying to get at is that if Wikipedia administrators such as Jayjg are deleting articles or not including songs that a notable artist clearly states as one of their notable songs especially one that is the first single from their debut studio albums, then what good does it do to the artist work throughout their music career and for people using Wikipedia as a verifiable and correct information website or encyclopedia on peoples. I find it amusing that the website http://www.grimepedia.co.uk/wiki/Breakaway and http://www.grimepedia.co.uk/wiki/Star_In_The_Hood gets the information about Tinchy Stryder and his 2007 single "Breakaway (Tinchy Stryder song)" and 2007 debut studio album Star in the Hood more accurate than that of Wikipedia. I would possibly go as far as to say perhaps people should visit that website for a verifiable biography of Tinchy Stryder. Please if you can possibly now un-delete the "Breakaway (Tinchy Stryder)" Wikipedia article that I have recently re-created for this reason I have stated above. Thank you.

I had no time to address the accusation that the article was "promoting" a company. The article listed several negative and controversial factors about Kent Holtorf. Note that the "editor for deletion" process isn't a legitimate Wikipedia process; it's just for laughs. —Jeremy v^_^v Components:V S M 19:13, 23 October 2011 (UTC)

In light of the fact that the "editor for deletion" tag is just a joke, I would still like to request the article be undeleted. It was modeled after another doctor article titled "Joseph Mercola" which has not been flagged for deletion. The tone was neutral and it was edited by another editor first who did not see a need for deletion. I am more than willing to revise if I know what it was the editor was calling "promotional" or "unambiguous". Editor sites the page "came across altogether too much like an advertisement" because "so many of the references were actually to his own publications, articles, papers, etc", but the reference proportion was 10 direct references vs. 16 secondary sources- which is not far from the 'Joseph Mercola' reference proportion of 14 direct references vs. 32 secondary sources. Also the Commons:Deletion Policy lists "Advertising or self-promotion." under Reasons for General Deletion, while Speedy Deletion Nominations do not list that, but are limited to "Files Corrupted, infected by a virus, unintentionally blank, etc. (if in doubt, list it on Commons:Deletion requests as an unknown format/content). Has previously been deleted under Commons deletion guidelines. Was uploaded with the intent to be used solely for purposes of vandalism, personal attacks, and/or spamming. It's now up for speedy deletion for the same reason, however, if you have submitted am WP:OTRS ticket to actually hand over the text of your website, it may appear soon. This does not, however, absolve you from WP:COI. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 22:12, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

OtherSpace

This was PROD for lack of notability and advertising in February of 2008. Since then, it has gained notability due to becoming the largest sci-fi MU*, has had several more mentions in the media, and its head developer has become notable since becoming content development director of a major MMORPG and a leader of the MUD community. As a member of the MUD task force, I'd appreciate a copy being sent to my user page to improve the article. Thanks. -Carduus (talk) 21:12, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

New New World Order

notion is well sourced and discussed ; I saw the article after a talk about the notion of a multilateral BRICS-dominated "post-New World Order" in Taiwan and then was unable to find it on Wikipedia although I had used it for an article I can but assume it was deleted by non-experts. Reliable third-party sources sure exist -GrandPhilliesFan (talk) 09:57, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

We have never had an article with that title (or New new world order or Post-New World Order any other variation I have tried. Any other suggestions for what the title might have been? JohnCD (talk) 10:25, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

The article was deleted for copyright infringement. I do not believe that the article violated any copyright issues as the information was taken from a number of sources. However, instead of arguing over the deletion, I would just like a copy of the text and sources sent to me so that I can rewrite the article to remove any potential infringement. Thank you. -Jheditorials (talk) 13:31, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Done. Text emailed to you. Copying from several sources is still copying: please read Wikipedia:Copy-paste, and also WP:Close paraphrasing which explains that minor re-wording is not enough to avoid violating copyright. JohnCD (talk) 13:40, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Brian "Redban" Reichle

Brian Redban is the official co-host/producer of one of the most popular comedy-podcasts in the world, The Joe Rogan Experience, every episode has hundreds of thousands of views on a weekly basis and he also produces several other podcasts for his own podcast network "Deathsquad", there is no reason why this prominent podcast entrepreneur/comedian shouldn't be allowed to have his own Wikipedia page. In addition a simple Wikipedia search on "Redban" shows that he is referenced in five (5) different existing Wikipedia articles which shows that he is without a doubt a notable character who would benefit from a article of his own. -80.220.17.164 (talk) 14:41, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Treasury Section of Fine Arts

It does not duplicate Fine Arts article, as was claimed on the deletion notice -Motstravail (talk) 14:42, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Not done — There is no material to undelete in the article you mention. Our entry for Treasury Section of Fine Arts is simply a redirect, and that is the only edit. That page has no deleted revisions. You filed a previous undeletion request at Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion/Archive 49#Treasure Section of Fine Arts. (Note that 'Treasury' was misspelled in the title as 'Treasure'). That request was denied because the deleted material is now in 'Overview' of Section of Painting and Sculpture. The topics are clearly the same, so there is no rationale for having a separate article. If you have more material you wish to add, you might consider doing so at Section of Painting and Sculpture. I did not check carefully who was the author of the text in the 'Overview' section but my guess is that it's your material. If you want the deleted material from Treasure Section of Fine Arts returned, please send me a Wikipedia email. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 15:19, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Bradford Billet

Approved usage of Biography -Pab 85 (talk) 17:18, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Hello,

I recently created the Wikipedia page for Deputy Commissioner Bradford Billet at his request and utilized his official biography with his full permission, however, it was subsequently removed due to "copyright violations." These violations were due to the fact that the page itself is very similar to his biography listed on the NYC Mayor's Commission for the UN, Consular Corps and Protocol's (UNCCP) website. This is also taken from his official biography.

I understand the need for sources beyond a primary source alone and am actively working with Deputy Commissioner Billet to develop this page further so that it may contain information beyond just his biography; this additional information will include items and articles he has had published as well other aspects of his personal career (the intention is for this Wikipedia page to be about the individual Bradford Billet as opposed to his Deputy Commissioner position) or any other items he wishes to include.

It is my hope that the Bradford Billet page can and will be restored so that I can continue my attempts to raise the online profile of the UNCCP across several platforms and make our commission more accessible to the consulates, missions, and other diplomats based in NYC who utilize our office.

Thank you, Paul B.

Not done. I have tried but, unless he can provide a better guess at the article title, or the username of the original author, I'm afraid it will not be possible to trace it, and he will have to start from scratch. Tell him to read WP:COI, WP:BESTCOI, WP:PROMO, WP:BFAQ, WP:V, WP:N, WP:CORP, WP:YFA, WP:PEACOCK - it looks an intimidating reading list, but if he's going to do paid editing it will save him trouble in the end to understand all that in advance. Auto Italia South East

MY page Auto Italia South East was deleted, the reason stated was 'ambiguous advertising' which is ridiculous. The page consisted of a simple description and history of the well renowned artists' run space. Auto Italia has recently become a National Portfolio Organisation meaning that it is of national importance to arts and culture[1] [2]. Auto Italia is a not-for-profit organisation, any accusation of advertising is completely unfounded as Auto Italia offers no services for sale. It is very frustrating to have to mount a defense against such blatant vandalism.Chaosandvoid (talk) 17:18, 28 October 2011 (UTC) -Chaosandvoid (talk) 17:18, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

Leslie Kulesh

I have been working on a series of pages dealing with the work of emerging artists, many of whom may well not be house hold names none-the-less it does not mean that their pages are worthy of deletion. A quick google search of the name Leslie Kulesh will proves that she is an artist with a notable career having show with many well known spaces and artists. There are many artists on Wikipedia whose pages are extremely poor but only preserved due to their connection with a millionaire art collector. If wikipedia's cultural value system is only based on capital then the entire project is moribund. I believe that there should be some actual constructive discussion before pages can be deleted. Rather than just adding a deletion category. -Chaosandvoid (talk) 17:29, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

Not done You might have a rather skewed view of the purpose of an encyclopedia. Have you read Wikipedia:ARTIST for more information on notability for artisans? This is most certainly not the place for emerging artists (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 17:37, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

Dr Eugene Novotney

I wrote this article because I saw that Dr Novotney was one of the few important instructors listed in the Humboldt State University faculty list, who didn't have his own article. The article I wrote was deleted because I did not (yet) include references. More importantly, it was deleted because the biography appears verbatim at http://www.unlockingclave.com/bio-eugene-novotney.html. Unlocking Clave.com is my website and I wrote the bio of Dr Novotney because I offer his ground-breaking Doctoral thesis "The 3:2 Relationship as the Foundation of Timelines in West African Musics" as a free PDF download. I could write another bio, but since I wrote the one I posted in Wikipedia, might that bio be sufficient? I fully intend to add references, which will be easy. I'm currently working on several Wikipedia at once, and I add material every few days. Perhaps this isn't the best method. I'm sorry, I don't want to break Wikipedia protocols. Antonino Arconte

The figure of Antonino Arconte and interesting for an encyclopedia, because it represents for over twenty years, the true story of Nucleus G of Gladio Organization, Stay Behind in Italy and other occidental nation. The accompanying notes are parliamentary questions of the Italian Government, unfortunately in Italian, which everyone can translate to understand the truth of important historical events. For this reason the page encyclopedic already exists in wikipedia, the free encyclopedia in Italian language and was from me only translated into English. Links to official sites, are reduced to the essentials and show that when it is written in the brief artist portrait-biography it's documented with official acts of the Italian Government and parliament. I believe that the reason for the cancellation is unfounded and caused by failure to read texts enclosed in the original language. In addition to the fact that we do not know this history very important for the understanding of the cold war, and it is precisely for this reason, there are the voices of the encyclopaedias like Wikipedia. Let me know thanks Nino -Aarconte (talk) 16:08, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
