Issues to be mediated[edit]

The party filing this request uses this section to list the issues for mediation. Other parties can list additional issues in the section below.
  • The name of the article: User:Jerrch suggests that Premier of the Republic of China be moved to President of Executive Yuan, and claim that the latter name is both official and common citing Google hits. User:Chrishomingtang suggests that the article name should remain the same citing concerns that the latter name is confusing and less easily recognized by foreign editors per WP:NC.

Additional issues to be mediated[edit]

Other parties can use this section to list any others issues they wish to include in the mediation. Please do not modify or remove any other party's listing. Please sign all additions to this section if there is more than two parties involved in this case.
  • Additional issue 1
  • Additional issue 2

Questions[edit]

Is it not possible to proceed with the mediation? My impression was that the one missing party was not very interested in this issue anymore anyway. The issue, of course, still persists. What way to resolve it does the mediation committee recommend? — Sebastian 21:56, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jiang was one of the original parties listed. If he is no longer interested in editing the article or would accept what compromises this mediation reaches, then it can probably proceed without him. Perhaps someone should ask politely? WjBscribe 23:45, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, I don't see much point in that. Jiang already received two official messages about this case. If they wanted to participate, then ey would have done so. This already has held up the process - how many more messages do we need on Jiang's talk page till we accept the implicit refusal?
Besides, what should happen if Jiang refuses explicitly? Will Wikipedia really not be able to make a decision about the Premier of the Republic of China just because one person doesn't want to participate in the decision process anymore? — Sebastian 01:33, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, being ignorant of mediation policy, I did not know that my acceptance was required for the process to go forward. I was expecting to watch from the sidelines to keep my reading list down. I accept.--Jiang 05:40, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot! — Sebastian 06:28, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
