Tire Shelf Life[edit]

Tires have a manufacture date on the side. If these tires are sold to me as new, when they are 1 year old as dated. Should I expect the emoliants and waxes to be less from sitting on a shelf unmounted? Thanks, Lee --68.12.38.27 01:23, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dream Question 2: The Second[edit]

Thanks for the help on that last issue (Nov. 8..that one about werewolves)...very enlightening...I'm hoping you can help me out with another problem. I was having an entirely different dream and everything was fine until my sister told me that it was really important that I break her legs. I was reluctant at first, but she was very insistent...so she sat down on a table and raised her legs out in front of her, and one at a time I bent them behind her head until I heard an awful snap, all the while having her scream at me about how I really, really needed to break her legs. It was rather unsettling. I know that dreams wherein you lose teeth or go to the dentist are meant to be signs of upcoming financial difficulty, but does anyone in this absurd pool of (vice pool of absurd) knowledge know what all these broken leg dreams are supposed to mean? I think the best person to interpret someone's dreams is the dreamer him/herself. No-one else has such knowledge of the situation and recent events that may have caused such dreams. I don't believe in universal interpretations of dream symbols, either (for example, I've heard a version where losing a tooth is the dream manifestation of masturbation). Massaging muscle[edit]

Does a self-hand-massage or massage with one of those vibrating heads massagers help with muscle soreness or muscle recovery after an intense exercise? Jamesino 04:21, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Massage should help with the muscle soreness, not only through the immediate pain relief, but also by encouraging more blood flow to the region. Sportsmedicine.about.com recommends massage after exercise. The actual therapeutic benefits should be the same whether you massage the muscle or someone else does, although subjectively it always seems to feel better when someone else does the work. Cell phone cleaning[edit]

I had heard of the price difference from country to country but was shocked to find it was sellinh for £270 in Japan, and will be close to £450 in the UK. Limescale[edit]

Hi there Can you tell me if limescale is harmful if digested, especially by a 3 month old baby? I use a steam steriliser & obviously a kettle to make up his bottles & am findin loads of limescale residue Thank you

Limescale occurs naturally in the water and it not dangerous itself, though there is obviously a risk of choking if the baby swallows a large piece. I suggest you clean the kettle with a proprietary descaling solution, and/or get a kettle that has an integral filter.--Shantavira 13:29, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There are. See Virtual Bangladesh and the article on Bengali literature. The only two Bengali authors I read, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay and Rabindranath Tagore, were not Bangladeshi though. U.S. entry into World War I is a very complicated affair — there are a lot of things to take into consideration, both domestic and foreign. There is some discussion at World_War_I#Entry_of_the_United_States but IMO you'd need to consult a secondary source if you wanted a good glimpse of the complexity of the period. Though how you mean the word "seek" here is a bit unclear, technically Rmhermen is correct -- but if the four examples are an indication, I think the word "seek" may not be what you really mean. The basic difference between a librarian and these other things is who uses the information, and to what extent. Most "researchers", including those THB and Anchoress refer to, gather, distill and present information in some way. Librarians, on the other hand, give access to and sometimes retrieve pre-packaged information for a patron, but leave it up to the patron to read and subsequently use that information. Finalizing[edit]

It's a standard funtion on burning software. Just start up such software and go through the moves of burning something on the dvd, except that you don't actually select anythingto be burned, but do select the 'finalise' option. DirkvdM 07:40, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you're using CDBurnerXP Pro, you can finalise an 'open' disk directly. Open the Disk Information dialog (under Tools, I think), and click on "Close Disk". Other burning software may have a similar function, check their help files. — QuantumEleven 14:08, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Probably, but since house cats are always around people, they would always have symptoms, so it wouldn't be obvious that people are the problem. I'm sure they are, as they show allergies to pretty much everything else. As StuRat points out, though, the allergens are more likely to be to be byproducts of human environments than humans themselves. Infact these people make a living out of testing animal allergies, "offering the complete allergy service including serological testing for food (IgE & IgG) and environmental (IgE) allergies in cats, dogs and horses". They recount the story of Hector, an 18 month old Bichon Frise:

Hector had been suffering from hair loss, weight loss and diarrhoea. He was constantly scratching and often woke the family at night. His blood sample showed an allergy to food but also an allergy to house dust mites. Dealing with environmental allergies, like house dust mites or pollen, is a little bit trickier however there are solutions. [2]

I have asked this before [3] [4], but I am sure someone has an answer. I am looking for an audio or video file containing famous quotes or scenes from history, movies, and/or television. For example an audio file with "No, I am your father," "To infinity and beyond," and "E.T. phone home." I just want the most famous scenes from the most famous movies and TV shows all in one place. Here, I'll help put you out of our misery. The History Channel has a bunch of famous political, artistic, and scientific clips on their site, and you can find it (and many others) at this google search for 'famous audio clips'.
