Assuming this article covers all available literature on the genus and species, then it is pretty close to FA status. I applaud you for taking on the task of bringing such an obscure topic to FAC.
Pachysentis is a genus of Acanthocephala (thorny-headed worms, also known as spiny-headed worms) that parasitize primates and carnivorous mammals... Shouldn't it be "a genus of acanthocephalan" or "a genus in Acanthocephala" here? And if it parasitizes mammals of the order Carnivora, then call them carnivorans, not carnivorous mammals, and link it to Carnivora.

The species is named after the genus of the host Procyon it was found infesting. I suggest rephrasing to, "The species is named after the genus of the host (Procyon) it was found infesting." Note that genus names are always italicized.

It looks like many of the species were originally described as part of another genus in 1950. I think you should mention this in the taxonomy section, and elaborate on why they were moved to a new genus. Actually, it could in general use some more information on the taxonomic history of the genus.
