I would love for this to become a featured article, but it needs massive work. Especially the intro and the fluidity of the article. It doesn't read well. Help! Suggestions?--Esprit15d 15:31, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think a trivia section (such as on his tattoo) would help with the flow of the 'mainstream success' section (you could just rename the 'references in the media' section. A seperation of the 'mainstream success' and personal information might help, too, such as separating the grammys from "John allows audio taping at most live performances....". You can also compare it to other music featured articles, like Phil Collins or Mariah Carey. To me, they seem to have longer introductions and more non-music stuff. You'll have your work cut out for you, too, since I've noticed the FA artists have had longer careers than Mayer. I'll try to give you a hand, too, since I'm a fan.
