"Io non ho che una povero stanzetta" from Leoncavallo's La bohème[edit]

From Act II of Ruggiero Leoncavallo's 1897 La bohème. Opening a year later than Giacomo Puccini's much more much more popular opera of the same name, this opera is only occasionally heard today, while Puccini's became a standard of the operatic repetoire. Sung by Enrico Caruso.

I think it highly interesting to compare the operas. Although I was unable to remove some geiger-counter like distortion at two (thankfully brief) points near the end, I think that the educational benefit of hearing an otherwise decent recording of such a rare opera win out.
