• Oppose It appears the apparently wooden frame is, in fact, part of the painting. Note the painting damage on the middle left. Given {http://classconnection.s3.amazonaws.com/196/flashcards/1182196/jpg/madonna_in_a_church1329251793777.jpg] and the rather awkwardly edited File:Jan_van_Eyck_Madonna_in_the_Church.jpg include it, the awkward crop seems unacceptable.
