East Indies theatre of the French Revolutionary Wars[edit]

The East Indies theatre of the French Revolutionary Wars was a series of campaigns fought between 1793 and 1801 between the new French Republic and its allies and a shifting alliance of rival powers led by Great Britain. The East Indies were economically vital to Britain and the French repeatedly sought to disrupt the East Indiaman trade convoys which crossed the region, with little success. By the end of the war, Britain had comprehensively defeated the French in the East Indies and seized the Dutch colonies in South Africa and Ceylon.

This is a collection of GA articles I worked on a while back that together tell the story of a minor, yet vital theatre of the French Revolutionary Wars. Any comments or suggestions welcome. --Jackyd101 (talk) 22:11, 23 August 2017 (UTC) --Jackyd101 (talk) 22:11, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
