  • Answer: Yes.

How would you describe the nature of this dispute? (policy violation, content dispute, personal attack, other)

  • Answer: Content dispute. On a page about the Beach Boys album "Smiley Smile" a user called BGC calls it "an infamous album", "notoriously under-produced" , "bizarre quality". It is true that this album is somewhat controversial. However, I think the words that BGC uses are opinions that one should not write to an encyclopedia article. Earlier BGC has had a revision war with a user called Monicasdude. Monicasdude made several revisions which BGC called vandalism. Reading Monicasdude's talk page, it seems that he really has done some vandalism in the Wikipedia. But this time I think he was right. In September a user called Ptkfgs edited the article. In the summary he wrote about BGC's edits: "a better music review, but a poorer encyclopedia article. see WP:NPOV." Some days ago BGC made his revision again.

What methods of Dispute Resolution have you tried so far? If you can, please provide wikilinks so that the Advocate looking over this case can see what you have done.

  • Answer: I have written to the talk page. However, there has not been a reply from anybody. There has also been earlier talk about this and the page has even been protected.

What do you expect to get from Advocacy?

  • Answer: I am a fan of this album so my view may be subjective. I also don't want to take part in a dispute. So I would like to get a more objective view from somebody. And also some ideas of what to do in a case like this.
