Copyright problem on Palatine tonsil[edit]

Content you added to the above article appears to have been copied from Mucosal Immunology edited by Jiri Mestecky, page 1554 and 1999. Copying text directly from a source is a copyright violation. Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, the content had to be removed. All content you add to Wikipedia must be written in your own words. Please leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 16:29, 27 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

Just follow the steps 1, 2 and 3 as shown and fill in the details

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them). WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN.

  1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
  2. Then click on "templates",
  3. Choose the most appropriate template and fill in the details beside a magnifying glass followed by clicking said button,
  4. If the article is available in Pubmed Central, you have to add the pmc parameter manually -- click on "show additional fields" in the template and you will see the "pmc" field. Please add just the number and don't include "PMC".

We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 04:17, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

We do not use primary sources for medical content. Associations do not equal causes. Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 21:14, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Zesd you have not addressed the concerns raised here[1]. Can you explain what happened? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 11:18, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Doc James: I don't understand what the problem is. Every time I was very careful and used proper references. But still, any change I made was reverted within a matter of hours, if not minutes. Zesd (talk) 20:52, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

So you remain of the position that:

"The Canadian Cancer Society mentions tonsillectomy as a possible risk factor for Hodgkin's lymphoma, although it stresses that more research is necessary.[1]"

means the same thing as:

"Unknown risk factors It isn’t known whether or not the following factors are linked with Hodgkin lymphoma previous surgery to remove the tonsils or the appendix"

Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 07:37, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Doc James:Well, basically yes. They Canadian Cancer Society literally says "More research is needed to see if the following are risk factors for Hodgkin lymphoma." Apparently there are reasons to believe that tonsillectomy increases the risk of attracting Hodgkin's disease (such as several studies that found a significant correlation between tonsillectomy and Hodgkin's disease). Otherwise, no more research would be needed. Zesd (talk) 14:07, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hum. It specifically calls these "unknown risk factors" and yet you turned it into "possible risk factors"... Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 14:11, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Changing against the consensus at the RfC[edit]

There is clear consensus at the RfC currently. Please do not edit against clear consensus. Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 16:24, 11 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

July 2019[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Street performance, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Robynthehode (talk) 19:01, 1 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Continued efforts to go against consensus[edit]

We developed consensus here[2]. You will need to develop a different consensus if you wish something different. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 19:45, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A cupcake for you![edit]
