Happy editing! StephenMacky1 (talk) 16:19, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message.
I made my edits because the page in its former self appears to have a religious stance, given how hotly contested the topic is, it appears biased to me to not mention some of Moore’s later views.
Hope my edits didn’t cause you any confusion about my intentions.
Do inform me of the issues with my edits and I will resolve them asap. Yusufalhindi (talk) 16:21, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. In order to analyze his views, you need a secondary source, since we as editors cannot analyze views on our own. Also, you need to make sure that the source actually mentions Moore, so that the analysis would be valid. This all falls under original research. Hope it's all clear now. StephenMacky1 (talk) 16:26, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see, how do I then present the contents of his later works without breaking his rule? Yusufalhindi (talk) 16:27, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, try to find a secondary source that discusses his later works and summarize content based on that source. Make sure it is a reliable source too. If you think the wording in that section is problematic, you can also try addressing that too. StephenMacky1 (talk) 16:31, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing, as mentioned in the discussion page for that page, it appears that one of the sources, that being “Islam Papers” appears to not fit the criteria of Wikipedia regarding reliable sources. Do I have permission to remove that quote and source? 117.20.154.210 (talk) 16:34, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for that reply, for some reason, I was logged out. Yusufalhindi (talk) 16:36, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. You can freely remove it. You do not need permission, unless another editor disputes your edit. StephenMacky1 (talk) 16:42, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have found a blog by Myers which openly criticises Moore [1], am I permitted to use it? Yusufalhindi (talk) 16:52, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You could, but attribute the criticism to Myers. StephenMacky1 (talk) 17:07, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Noted, thank you for your guidance. Yusufalhindi (talk) 17:07, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
