Order of the Arrow

I see that you wikied the 3 honors which do not yet have articles associated. were you planning on writing these article and do you think that the honors have enough to say about them that the need articles of their own seperate from just ahving a section in the OA article? let me know on my talk page what you think. I'm fine with the creation of a page, I'll even help write it. I'm thinking Order of the Arrow Honors maybe as the title, since the brotherhood has no rank. Perhaps we could start by writing something in a == Honors == section on the Order of the Arrow page in order to help get people involved and then we can move it off to its own? The Lesser Five

I too did not know about the Lesser Five until I heard it in college admissions discussions. While the term is not in wide-spread use, it _does_ exist (ask anyone active in college admissions).

I think it should be mentioned in the Ivy League article. Since you are at Cornell, according to your profile, I think there is a bias factor in your removal of my changes.

Re: Approval ratings

Very nice, where are you getting them from? Old Cornellians in Kroch? Glad to see you (I'm guessing?) getting rid of copyrighted photos. I'm gonna go through my collections and try to find a nice one of the inside of Lynah. Can you think of any other part of campus that needs a photo uploaded? WSH or maybe AD White House? Cornell Founders

I saw someone recently made a change to an error I noticed in the Cornell History section: Ezra Cornell and Andrew D. White were both Republicans — in fact, one of Cornell's heroes was Lincoln, who, don't forget, was a Republican (this map is pretty cool). I was going to find a source and then change it; if you'd like I can still get one. Other than that, keep up the good work — the History section is a great addition to the article. I have to admit, I'm working on reworking the article, including a major rewrite/expansion of Cornell's history and would be really interested in your feedback. btm 00:32, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

Baseball on Wikicities

Hello Xtreambar, Googie Man here and I want to ask you something as a fellow baseball fan (and partiuclarly a Red Sox fan) on Wikipedia. Jimbo and Angela have made a new webstie called Wikicities. This link in particular will take you to the baseball Wikicity. As you'll see it's similar to Wikipedia, but my hope is this will allow baseball fans to do more and different things, like reporting on games, in depth statistics, create mulitple pages for pictures, and whatever else baseball fans care to create. You've done great work on Wikipedia and I was hoping you could help get this baseball Wikicity off the ground. sage colleges/pictures

I'm fairly sure that Henry W. Sage and Russell Sage were just barely related, and that the Sage College @ CU doesn't count as one of the Sage Colleges. On the other hand, Prudence Risley (of risley hall fame) was Russell Sage's mother (see link below), and the Russell Sage Foundation / Margaret Olivia Slocum Sage gave money to Cornell to build Risley Hall. The risley article appears to be your baby, so ill let you add that. I'm going to remove Sage Res. College from the Sage Colleges page.

Penn Student

Please do not get upset. You are insecure about the fact that you attend a low ranking state school (ok half state school) . Other than the open green spaces, your campus looks ugly. Cornell's buildings are absolutely awful. Also, hate to break the news but Cornell was not even around during the Colonial period. Just because you could not get into one of the Ancient Four (Penn, Harvard, Yale and Princeton) does not mean you can make rude comments. Grow up. Just to let you know Cornell is named after one of my ancestors. For now, I've reverted the most recent edit of this user. They are bordering on violating 3RR; they've pretty clearly already crossed the line in regards to WP:LEGAL and WP:CIVIL. So, I slept on it, and realized reluctantly this morning that, while User:Mcorcoran has violated WP:CIVIL, WP:LEGAL, WP:DICK, WP:3RR, and probably some I'm missing, he's right about reverting Cornell's admissions statistics until something official comes out. That's going to happen in the next couple of weeks; the page can hold tight until then. I've reverted back to his original edit. Until something more substantial than a prediction based on usual acceptance numbers and the number of applicants comes in, we should stick with 26.1%. I look forward to the triumphant return of this year's stats when we have the number out to 3 or 4 significant figures.
